SMSL meeting minutes

12/15/08

Vanderkolk, Metz, Jimenez, Solomon, Fletcher, Calderon, Helmy, Bundy

1.  Sponsors- no efforts to collect on past delinquent sponsors has been made
Future sponsors might include Helmy, Hamption Inn, AzTeca, Dave Stouter, CDS

2.  Idea of ordering 20 shirts up front with original order to cover supplemental shirts.  Get them all in one go.

3.  Captain selection and discussion
Possible, Baratcu, Calderon, Rojas, Bundy, Jimenez, Tode, Rodriguez, Cragoe, Morris

Board resolved that a good captain has the following qualities:  good attendance, soccer background, knows players in the League, can manage playing time and substitutions, will contact and call players prior to games. 

Add question about whether a player will be a captain, a sponsor, or a field marshall on registration form.

4.  Registration to $60.  Must pay or face Sergio.  Doa paper mailing in late Jan.  Put form on Web. 

5. Season- Idea of 2 divisions, play 1/2 session, have tournament, plat 2nd half.  Then maybe 2nd tournament.  
Adopted idea of regular 10 week season, 1 day 4 team playoff based on season standing.  Post season tourney over 3 weeks seeded by blind draw.  

6.  Resolved to do supplemental draft picks in reverse standing order.  Bundy opposed.

7.  Spring ref payments will be $60 for middle, $30 a line.  Supplemental player fee will be $50.      

8.  Solomon to send out draft bylaws.
